Down The Drain is a American metal band with elements of death-metal, thrash-metal and hard-core riffs. The songs consist of blistering lyrics, strong vocals, precise rhythms, endless grooves and massive guitar riffs. It can be enjoyed by many in both the death metal or hard core world. In 1994, Malevolent guitarist/mastermind Phil Fasciana, Cannibal’s Rob Barrett and longtime underground scene stalwart “Crazy” Larry Hawke put together what many still consider one of the genre’s best “supergroups”. While initially intended as a side-project, HATEPLOW, as they would come to be known, took on a more serious focus in late 1999 after Barrett’s departure from Cannibal Corpse. Inspired by blasphemous and blackened metal, KULT OV AZAZEL spit forth their hate towards humanity and religion. The unholy birth cries were first heard in 1999, under the infernal name of Azazel. Hailing from South Florida, Xaphan and Xul decided to join forces, marching relentlessly towards a shared destiny with a grim vision. June of 2000 marked a turning point for the entity formerly known simply as Azazel. | MALEVOLENT CREATION started their career in 1987 in Buffalo, NY, where they recorded and distributed their first demo. In 1988 they moved to a more fertile music scene in Florida and produced their second demo with a pressing of 1,000 copies. Finally, a third demo the following year, brought Malevolent Creation a record deal with Roadrunner and the first full-length album titled The Ten Commandments, considered by many to be one of the strongest Death Metal debut albums. |

UPON INFLICTION is the brainchild of Gus Rios & Seth Ringler. Gus Rios has been part of the South Florida metal scene for over 15 years having played with Sickness, Divine Empire and Malevolent Creation. Seth Ringler caught Gus’s attention with his flawless execution of brutal yet complex riffs. Seth’s ability to play his instrument with precision was exactly what UI needed to come to life. BURNEER was formed in September of 1999 by Divine Empire guitarist John Paul Soars and drummer Greg Threlkel. Within a month, the two had crafted five songs. Shortly thereafter, the two invited guitarist Mike Puccharellie into the fold. Soars and Puccharellie had been jamming together for years in Raped Ape/Paingod. Along with Mike came bassist James Wellman, Wellman had been playing with numerous underground outfits in South Florida. With all the musicians in place they started writing more songs and honing their sound. The only element missing was a versatile frontman. Enter Cliff Denny, lead vocalist and drummer for the successful local, jazz/funk band Jenga. He was the perfect ingredient needed to complete the band's unique brew. READ MORE |

CLOSER THAN KIN is a five piece hardcore punk band hailing from Southeastern Massachusetts. The band, consisting of Nick (vocals), JK (guitar), Stevie Chaos (guitar), Rich (bass), and Roger (drums) has for many years been bringing their own hybrid of punk and hardcore to everyone and anyone that would listen. A constant touring schedule has brought their sound throughout the eastern and midwestern parts of the United States along with three successful tours of Canada, sharing the stage with the likes of The Misfits, Sick of it All, Big Wig, Pennywise, Death By Stereo, Shai Hulud, Agnostic Front, Atreyu, and many more. COLOUR TRIP started out under the name Accessory in early 1991. Soon after, they released their debut CD "Within Your Mind" released by SPV in 1992. Through extensive touring, the band established a well-known underground status throughout Europe and signed with Massacre Records/IRS in 1993. Along with a new label came a shift in musical style and a change in name. Colour Trip's self-titled debut album was released in 1994, followed by a European tour with Nuclear Assault. Colour Trip's music can be best described as straight in-your-face riffs, intense and fearsome vocals paired with powerful, rhythmic drums create an aggressive intensity that doesn't need to follow trends. Formed in 1998 by Tomas Andersson (vocals / guitars) and Pontus Sjösten (vocals / drums) DENATA began their infernal sessions and with a big laugh their s/t vinyl EP was recorded as a tribute to the old school scene. What was a project became a band in 1999 as they hooked up with Roger Blomberg (bass). HOMO IRATUS were formed in early july 1998 by Argyris ( drums ) Alex ( Guitars - Vocals ) and Kostas ( guitars ). After one month they released their first demo "Absence of Progress" that got great reviews from zines and mags around the world. Not a long time after that, Jim joins in as the main singer. In April 2001 Homo Iratus Strike 4 album deal with Arctic Music Group and "Human Consumes Human" becomes an Official release and Homo Iratus' debut album. READ MORE |

IMMERSED IN BLOOD emerged from the remnants of the Swedish Death metal band Inverted in October 1998. Joel Andersson (bass) and Johan Ohlsson (guitar) decided to continue to play together but in an even more brutal direction. Vocalist Stefan Lundberg (also ex-Inverted member) and drummer Jocke Unger decided to get immersed in blood in Dec. 1998. The death-roll was completed when Robert Tyborn Axt (guitar) joined the band in Feb. 1999. The band played their debut gig in March 1999 and only two months later, in May 1999, they recorded their debut demo entitled "Eine Kleine Deathmusik", featuring four tracks of brutal bloody Death Metal. It's amazing considering what 5 long years can bring for a band that comes from the end of the world, for whom many predicted non-future and no success. Originating from Ljubljana, Slovenia in the early ninetees, the line up for their debut demo album "Baptis at Savica fall" (1998) had not gone trough major change in NOCTIFERIA. Before long time vocalist David was replaced, a concrete line up went on to record a string of uncompromising releases. 2 live radio sessions were released, as well as live tape "Carnage in elysium" were released in limited editions and were sold out at the shows shortly after it's release. Debut was promoted at many shows with Deicide, Marduk, Immortal, Impaled Nazarene, Angel Corpse, Dark Funeral...that saw them trough summer 1999. STEREOCHRIST (formerly known as Super Natural) was founded in May 2002 by members of Hungary's premier doom-metal band, Mood. Disbanded at the end of 2001 Mood previously released 4 LPs and circulated the underground scene with a number of successful shows including the Flag of Doom series of festivals with appearances by Spirit Caravan, Crowbar and Beaver. TOTAL DEVASTATION was founded in the summer of 1998 by Jaakko Heinonen and Lauri Pikka. The original idea was to play all machines extreme music. Two summers later the line-up also included Harri Pikka with the guitar, and the chaos that the band delivered had already started to gear more towards the metallic sound reality. Around the same time Ville Heiskanen joined the band and later took all the responsibility for the lyrics. The fourth demo, "Divine-Ecstasy" (2001) was praised so much that the band received invitation to play in prestigious Down By The Laituri festival. READ MORE |
