Biography

With More then 15 years of blasting out death metal, with his band Malvolent Creation, it took Brett Hoffmann going back home, to find himself (mind, body and soul) and to find his new band, Down The Drain. The Buffalo based band was formed in the winter of 2002 by Chris Benbenk (guitar) and T.J. Suto (guitar) With a few line up changes over the next year and half. A strong chemistry was formed with Shane Rizzano (drums) and Scott O'Dell (bass). So the search for a frontman was in order. Scott knew Brett from back in the Malevolent days and that he was looking to play again. After a few rehearsals, It was then that Brett knew this was the band for him and he could do what he has always been passionate about... making sick ass music! Down The Drain is a American metal band with elements of death-metal, thrash-metal and hard-core riffs. The songs consist of blistering lyrics, strong vocals, precise rhythms, endless grooves and massive guitar riffs. It can be enjoyed by many in both the death metal or hard core world and Brett has brought both energy and a sense of excitement to the band.
